_____________________The wolf has a bad image. Still does. The image of the evil wolf of the evil wolf devouring six of the seven little goats - or even a grandmother - as in Little Red Riding Hood. In fairy tales, the wolf symbolises an evil force, something demonic.
Christianity goes even further and equates the wolf with the devil: Jesus warns of false prophets in sheep's clothing who are ravenous wolves. Numerous nature legends from Eastern Europe, Russia and Scandinavia tell of the creation of the wolf by the devil. However, the devil relied on God's help to bring the wolf to life and it was God's will that the wolf should devour sheep and goats.
The word wolf is widespread in the Indo-European language phylum and often denotes not only the animal, but also means robber, murderer, strangler, despised criminal, exile, evil spirit in the Old Germanic languages. The Old High German word "warg" in particular was equated with evil itself. Outlaws were referred to as "wolves" and the legal saying "thou art a warg" officially declared the convict to be an outcast who was also forced to live in the wilderness.
Werewolves were said in European folklore to bear tell-tale physical traits even in their human form. These included the meeting of both eyebrows at the bridge of the nose, curved fingernails, low-set ears and a swinging stride. One method of identifying a werewolf in its human form was to cut the flesh of the accused, under the pretense that fur would be seen within the wound. A Russian superstition recalls a werewolf can be recognized by bristles under the tongue. The appearance of a werewolf in its animal form varies from culture to culture, though it is most commonly portrayed as being indistinguishable from ordinary wolves save for the fact that it has no tail (a trait thought characteristic of witches in animal form), is often larger, and retains human eyes and a voice. According to some Swedish accounts, the werewolf could be distinguished from a regular wolf by the fact that it would run on three legs, stretching the fourth one backwards to look like a tail.

When I picked up Oneiros-Spun armour, I had an idea for an evil wolf. The shoes and gloves had something brutal and animalistic about them. So I used Norn Kultur Wolfborn Mask, plus new Winter Fur Shoulders and the look was creepy. As far as colours were concerned, I hardly had a choice. The wolves are mostly grey and black, but jumpers with patterns would be pretty inappropriate, so I used Shadow Abyss for all the armour pieces.
I did the styling for Demon Fashion Contest (at UAot).
