a ROSACEAE - Vinelord Edgebloom

The rose is the flower most frequently sung about or glorified in poetry and prose. Heidenröslein ("Rose on the Heath" or "Little Rose of the Field") by Goethe has been set to music over 50 times. Roses also play a role in a large number of sagas, legends, fairy tales and songs. Sleeping Beauty (German: Dornröschen, or Little Briar Rose) and Snow White and Rose Red are very well known.

A rose is either a woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa in the family Rosaceae or the flower it bears. There are over three hundred species and tens of thousands of cultivars.They form a group of plants that can be erect shrubs, climbing, or trailing, with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles. Their flowers vary in size and shape and are usually large and showy, in colours ranging from white through yellows and reds. Most species are native to Asia, with smaller numbers native to Europe, North America, and northwestern Africa. Species, cultivars and hybrids are all widely grown for their beauty and often are fragrant. Roses have acquired cultural significance in many societies. Rose plants range in size from compact, miniature roses, to climbers that can reach seven meters in height. Different species hybridize easily, and this has been used in the development of the wide range of garden roses.

With the new weapon skins from Vinelord Edgebloom, I wanted to try out a "flowery" look. When I saw the Oneiros-Spun Light Leggings, the styling was already finalised in my head - a wild rose. I deliberately opted for a human and not a sylvari. The armour was difficult to dye, as Nightmare Court Robes dye something different. After a few attempts, I decided on different shades of green (here is a picture with slightly lighter colours: https://i.imgur.com/Dw8jEE9.jpg ). I also tried out a few pieces of armour for the head. The Sanctifield helmet looks like a decoratively cut leaf or a bouquet component. The shoes don't look like rose roots, but all the other variants somehow didn't fit as they were either disproportionate or otherwise too conspicuous.
