The figure of the wolf has always been present in the cosmogonic legends and mythology of various peoples around the world, from Europe to Asia and North America. Especially in Norse mythology there are three mythological figures that resemble a wolf (besides Geri and Freki, the two wolves that accompany Odin): Fenrir (or Fenrisulfr) and his two sons Skoll and Hati.

SYMBOL OF SKOLL AND HATI

The symbolism of the wolf is very present in many cultures. Here are the symbols assigned to Skoll and Hati:
Chaos: The names Skoll and Hati respectively means “deception” and “hate”, and symbolize the chaotic nature inherent in every human being.
Time: These two Managarm wolves, sons of Fenrir and Larnsarxa, are also representatives of the passing of time, chasing the Moon and the Sun in perpetual motion around the Viking universe and the Midgard.
Power: During Vikings age, these two beasts were symbols of chaos but also power and strength. Both frightened and admiring, the Viking tribes forged items in the effigy of the wolves brothers.
Repulsion: Also, according to Norse mythology, Skoll is also the symbol of repulsion. In Norse or Asian myths, the idea of a dog or a wolf chasing the stars was widespread.

_______________________________________________________In the beginning, Odin gave to the god of the sun, Sol, and the moon, Mani, two magical chariots to quickly cross the sky once a day and thus bring light to the whole world. What Odin did not foresee was that the two gods were very easily distracted. The sun liked to take the time to watch the waves crashing on the cliffs and nature from the sky. As for the moon, she liked to watch what humans were doing.
However, their actions had a great impact not only on the gods but also on humans. No one knew when to sleep or stay awake anymore because the sun and the moon were out of control and the day and night was completely unbalanced.
Then, Odin, furious, decided to threaten Sol and Mani with his magic spear, but knowing that they were the only ones who could do this job, the Sun and Moon gods did not take his threats seriously. Finally, Loki found the solution to the problem, he went to meet the wolves Skoll and Hati, the child of his son Fenrir, so that they could chase the sun and the moon. As a reward, they could devour them if they managed to catch up with them.
Not wasting any time, the two wolves set off in pursuit of the gods of the Moon and the Sun who, in panic, seeing the two wild beasts melting down on them at full speed, immediately set off on their usual course. Thus, the cycle of day and night finally returned to its normal rhythm.
According to legend, at the end of time during Ragnarök, Skoll and Hati would finally catch the sun and the moon and devour them, while at the same time the world would be plunged into such a cold universe that would freeze the hearts of men and gods. There will be no more light on earth and that is where the beginning of the end will begin.

The inspiration for my look was the new sign. I like the new EoD armour, but I am totally in love with Skoll and Hati! The helmet and chest piece are Jade Tech armour. In keeping with the theme, the shoulder armour is Dusk and Dawn. For the leggings I needed something glaz, so I went with Requiem Tassets. What I'm not really happy with are her boots.... I've tried a few but they either look out of place or have clipping errors with the leggings. Oh well, it is what it is. Shield is nice enough to distract from boots :)

I love the general concept and idea but i feel like the dyes aren't quite there yet.
The dark colors seem a bit too stark for my taste, especially on the metal bits of the legs and in combination with that very bright popping blue.
The combination of armor pieces also has a lot of different textures and materials and i don't feel like the current dye scheme helps them come together into a harmonious whole.

There are a lot of special effects in this outfit and i feel like matching it with very popping and "strong" conrast rich dyes is just too much. My eye doesn't really know where to go rather than being drawn to the highlights.

Have you tried changing the cloth part of the pants to the dark blue/black color and trying something else for the metal parts? Maybe something matching the metal bits of the axe or the mace.
A more subdued bluish dye like eucalyptus or tea jeans might also allow you to still match the shield while allowing the shoulders, shield and axe to pop more.

Thanks for the feedback, I understand what you mean. But if you look at all my characters, you'll notice that they all wear armour that is either very realistic (mostly classic look) or uses strong and clear colours (it's like my brand, I'm not a fan of muted pastel colours :)). I can post you a link for making-of later (I just have to look for screens), there are also other armour parts + colours for comparison.

Some other versions/steps along the process to see how you developed it would be great!

So I picked out a few pictures: https://i.imgur.com/krKFe04.jpg
Everything worked perfectly in the preview window, but I had to test many parts in real life because it looked quite different. That used up a lot of transmutation charge (all chars except the heavy class have legendary armor, only the heavy class makes do with Ascended armor because I play too rarely). My problem was - first, the pants/boots mix mostly had clipping errors, second, the colours were almost impossible to match because they looked completely different on different armour after changing cards.

Thanks a lot!
I't's great to see the different variations. The blue on that bottom right one is so beautiful, that's exactly what i had in mind as an alternative to the darker dyes.
The Warlord legs look pretty good as well but i agree with your final choice to go for the Blossoming Mist Shards.
Then again, i'm a huge fan of that set.
I should really upload some of my outfits using it but i tend to make a super big deal out of uploading here and don't get to it for ages. ^^"

I still have designs for Engineer and Mesmer with this shield, so we'll see when and if I get around to posting that here :)
