a flamboyant SHING JEA Island Visitor

Shing Jea Island lies to the west of Kaineng and was originally settled for agricultural purposes. In the middle of the island is a large mountain pass that practically divides the island into an eastern and a western part.

The cultural centre of the island is the Shing Jea Monastery, where students have been trained in all kinds of classes and arts for centuries. The western part of the island is mainly used by the students of the monastery for education, while the eastern part is home to the harbours and libraries.

With the emergence of the Crimson Skull pirates, the Imperial Guard expanded its sphere of influence on the island. The pirates established several small harbours on the coasts and have been extorting the local farming villages ever since. Later, the Imperial Guard succeeded in defeating the pirates and restoring peace to the island.

The island was also home to the Angchu, a Tengu clan that lived peacefully with the people, and the Sensali, a hostile clan that was still hostile to the people because of the Tengu wars. However, both clans were driven off the island and out of the empire during Emperor Usoku's ethnic cleansing.

Actually she was supposed to get Thunderhorse Staff Skin (and matching armour), unfortunately I had bad luck looting Black Lion Chest. Since December 2018, my WvW Ele has been wearing Brownie Look.... so it's time for her to be the first to get something new...
I unlocked some armour and weapon skins and did my first proper cantha styling. The whole styling is built around the staff, but I wanted something more extravagant than a simple Monastery armour. She has dark red hair and I would have liked to give her a Canthan hairstyle, unfortunately I don't think the hairstyles for humans are that nice (Norn and Sylvari have nicer ones). So I gave her a Jade Tech headdress and matched the colours to her hair colour and staff. Maybe one day I'll change some armour pieces, but for now I'm happy with her somewhat flamboyant Canthan look.... And so that was just a quick visit Shing Jea Islands, she's fleeing back to WvW....
